Home Sweet Home is located at 210 Parkway Avenue N. This will be their first year open for New Year’s Eve Dinner as they are the newest addition to Lanesboro’s wonderful restaurants. From 8am- 5pm, Home Sweet Home will be serving breakfast and lunch. At 5pm, Chef Liz will be serving Prime Rib, baked potato, tossed salad and dessert until 8pm. Keep in mind you can stop at Granny’s Liquors and grab your beverage of choice to go along with dinner.

The Old Village Hall is a restaurant and pub located in a stone building that was originally built in 1886 as the village hall, fire station and jail. This historical landmark is a place where you can experience fine dining in a casual setting. Open since 1994, the restaurant emphasis is on creative foods using the freshest ingredients and utilizing the regional fare whenever possible. Old Village Hall has put together a wonderful culinary experience for you to enjoy and celebrate the welcoming of the new year.
Old Village Hall will be serving a 4-course dinner on New Years Eve including a choice of Beef Tenderloin, New Zealand Lamb Chops and Jumbo Sea Scallops. Open seating will be from 5pm – 9pm.
Have you ever been on a private horse-drawn wagon ride? Sveen Wagon Rides can provide a memorable winter journey through the bluffs of Whalan. This ride takes about an hour. Half way through the trip, you will stop at the scenic overlook where there is a warm cabin to take the chill off. Restrooms are available and you are welcome to bring your own beverages, or something to consume while at the cabin warming up! Sveen Wagon Rides take place on private property at 26926 Everyday Road in Whalan/Lanesboro. The Granary will be hosting an evening of musical entertainment by The Turnip Truck- a subset of the musical band called The Rutabaga Brothers. Spend some time at 100 Beacon Street W on New Year’s Eve. The band will start at 9pm and you can enjoy the sounds of this local favorite as they play into the new year!
Bring your dancing shoes and sip on wine or beer during this fun special event. There will be a champagne toast at midnight so you may want to enjoy a coffee beverage while you are there also!
High Court Pub is a multi-level pub located at 109 North Parkway Avenue. The Year 2019 will ride in on Classic Rock, Folk, Country, with a touch of Bluegrass. You won’t want to miss Tom Schramm & the LPs in Lanesboro! Enjoy the great craft beers on tap, great cocktails and complimentary champagne at midnight for a special night out with friends. They will also offer an array of appetizers and flatbreads all night long.
Swing by the Root River Saloon at 112 Coffee Street East in Lanesboro for a beverage on New Year’s Eve! They will have a DJ from 8:30 pm until 12:30 am.
The American Legion will be hosting their annual New Year’s Eve Party! This customer appreciation event will be held upstairs with a DJ as well! The American Legion is located at 103 Elmwood Street E in Lanesboro. To show their appreciation, legion members will be providing a hot meal.
