Our long time front desk team member Therese brought in a fall treat for us to taste the other day. It was so good we thought the recipe should be shared! We then thought, how fun would it be to share with our friends some of our favorite fall treats! Here are a couple of favorites you can now share with your family and friends!
Here is Therese’s yummy Fall Fun Chex Mix! This fun recipe calls for caramel puff corn (made according to the directions on the bag- she drizzled hers with chocolate!) It also includes pretzels, white pumpkin pie M&M’s, Honey Nut Chex and Brach’s cookie flavored candy corn. Mix the amounts to your liking, and enjoy. Fall fun, for everyone!

Amish Apple Pizza
Crust:
- 2 1/2 -3 cups all- purpose flour
- 3 tbsp. sugar
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 milk
- 1/4 cup butter cubed
Topping:
- 4 cups sliced, peeled tart apples
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 12 oz. cream cheese
- 1/4 cup cold butter
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/3 cup oatmeal
Directions:
In large mixing bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups flour, sugar, yeast and salt. In a saucepan, heat water, milk and butter to 120-130 degrees. Add to dry ingredients. Beat for 2 minutes. Stir in remaining flour to form a firm dough. Turn onto a floured surface, cover and let rest for 15 minutes.
In a large skillet, cook and stir apples in butter over medium heat for 2 minutes. Combine sugar, flour and cinnamon. Stir in skillet. Cook 3 minutes more. Reduce heat to low, cook uncovered, 4-6 minutes or until apples are tender. Stir frequently.
In a small mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, brown sugar and topping. In another small bowl, combine flour and sugar, cut in butter until crumbly. Pat dough onto a greased 14 inch pizza pan, building up edges slightly. Spread with cream cheese topping, then the apple topping.
Sprinkle with streusel. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Serve warm or cold.
