Girls Day Out is just one week away on Saturday, September 24th. We want to remind you to make plans to spend the day in Lanesboro with friends. We hope to have a beautiful day.  Activities will be taking place to fill your day with fun.  The morning starts off with Market Vendors on Coffee Street at 10:00 am. There will be lots of things for you to browse through.  Participating stores will have their doors open by 10:00 am.  As you travel through the Lanesboro business district you will find many specials and refreshments.  Each time you make a purchase at a participating store you become eligible to fill out a card for our prize drawings later in the day. Be sure to visit our local restaurants for lunch during your time in Lanesboro.

At 1:00 p.m. there will be a style show on Coffee Street featuring fashions from E-2 Boutique, Beautiful Something and Stone Mill Clothing and Gifts. Each store has its own distinct offerings.  You will certainly find fashions that will fit your particular style.  This is a great way to celebrate fall.

Following the fashion show, Hubba will be presenting live music from 2-4 p.m. Sit down and enjoy the outdoor concert.

During the day, History Alive will be presenting their mini-pop up play beginning at the Lanesboro Museum and then traveling through the business district.  You may want to take in the 3:00 p.m. performance after the style show.  Performances will also be held on Sunday afternoon for those of you who are unable to make the Saturday performances.

Finish out your day with dinner at one of Lanesboro’s signature restaurants.  Make those dinner reservations early enough so you can still make the Commonweal Theatre’s production of Prides Crossing at 7:30 p.m.

Still have energy left following the play, how about meandering over to the High Court Pub, the Legion or the Root River Saloon.  Oftentimes you will find entertainment at one or all of these venues.  Tired and don’t want to drive home, overnight lodging reservations can be made by going to Lanesboro.com.  Don’t wait too long to make room reservations as weekends do fill up fast.

Look forward to seeing you on the 24th.
