Catherine Glynn will be presenting her one-woman show, “Miss Myrna Davenport’s Poetry in Motion,” on January 30, February 5, and February 7. Shows will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the St. Mane Theater. The show on February 7 will be a matinee beginning at 1:30 p.m.
The show tells the story of a renegade substitute English teacher who uses any artistic means necessary to help her students find their true voice. While Miss Myrna is inspired by the author/performer’s grandmother and aunt, any resemblance to the real women themselves in in bone structure alone and not necessarily the crazy classroom antics. Miss Myrna is being directed by Lee Gundersheimer, the Managing Director of the Great River Shakespeare Festival.
