Weekend Activities in Lanesboro, Minnesota

As I write this, I am overwhelmed at the variety of things to do this weekend in Lanesboro, Minnesota and the surrounding area.

The events featured below are in addition to attending the Farmer’s Market, riding the Root River trail, and taking in a play at the Commonweal Theatre.

The Bluff Country Gathering, a traditional American music festival, will be held in Lanesboro on May 15 – 18.

On Saturday, May 17, The Annual Stand Still Parade and much more will be in Whalan, a short five mile drive from Lanesboro.  There will be live entertainment, food, antique cars, demonstrations and more.  I have attended this event, and it is a fun event for the entire family.

Preston Trout Days will be on May 16 – 18.  Preston is a short eight mile drive and the activities include a parade, music, volleyball tournament, street dance, and a car show.

It is so fun to take in all  of the events and festivals that are being held in the area.  We are ready for the season at Stone Mill.  The bike rack is out, and the flowers are blooming.

Until next time . . . .
